Mission
• Setting up an education, research and Information centre to make the Buddha’s teaching (Dhamma) available to all who come in search of it
• To be a focal point for the next generation of Australians to learn and follow the Buddhist way of life including practices of Dana (letting go), Seela (virtue) and Bhavana (meditation).
• To safeguard and protect the welfare of all living beings and promote inter-communal peace, harmony and amity.

• To introduce the virtues underlying Buddhist philosophy based on the teaching of Lord Buddha and encourage the study, practice and realisation of his teachings.
• To promote the cause of education focused on Buddhist teachings and philosophy, as well as on a range of disciplines such as Pali, Sanskrit and Sinhala with a view to facilitating the study of Buddhist philosophy.
• To provide necessary facilities for the conduct of classes on meditation, as well as for the advanced study of Buddhist philosophy and to maintain a Buddhist Education Centre for that purpose.
• To involve the community in Buddhist cultural and social activities and help to promote, advance and bring out the qualities of righteous living.
• To collect and disseminate writings and information about Buddhist philosophy for the benefit of the community.
• To establish an international library on Buddhist Philosophy and culture for the use of the community.
• To work in association with State and Federal authorities in Australia to promote religious and inter-ethnic harmony.
